If you’re in Manchester, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Newark-on-Trent or Tonbridge, you may already be aware of your local Google Garage.
These Garages offer free workshops, advice and training on all things digital for people of all different skill levels and experience. Providing a unique opportunity to freshen up your digital skills or learn something new on your local high-street, they’re definitely worth checking out!
Yesterday, I attended an Analytics workshop run by Rick Birtles, a senior data analyst at PRWD who shared his insights and real-world experience in a really engaging and practical two hour session.
He covered a lot of ground and answered plenty of questions. In a session covering a number of different areas, he introduced the basics of Google Analytics reporting, Google’s shift to a mobile-first approach, how Search Console and Tag Manager can be integrated to give you richer user insights and how to set up simple funnel visualisations and tell stories with your data.
Whether you’re just starting out, trying to grow your business or or a professional looking for a new perspective, I really recommend attending one of these sessions. They’re a great place to hangout, ask questions and learn about digital.
With a range of one-to-one coaching, Google certification plans and group workshops, there is something for everyone. You can even arrange for a dedicated group training session.
You can find upcoming courses on the Google Garage site, or next time you’re in any of these towns or cities, just drop in and have a chat with someone.
