Fat Beehive - LIVE: A professional new look and feel for the International Service for Human Rights

An updated brand and colour palette lay the foundations for a modern website

The International Service for Human Rights (ISHR) supports human rights defenders globally through capacity building, strengthening human rights standards and systems and leading and participating in coalitions for human rights change. With a core belief in shared humanity, the organisation has been committed to contributing to a world that is fair, just and peaceful, in which all people can live free and equal, in diverse and inclusive communities since 1984.

With a strategic focus on increasing their global reach and improving user experience, we partnered with ISHR to develop a refreshed brand and website which provides a smooth user journey and ensures their products are more accessible than ever. Through subtle changes to branding and tweaks to their logo, the new website serves the needs of all audiences, be they activists, diplomats, experts, donors, journalists or anyone with a passion for human rights!

A unique feature of the new website is the Defender’s Toolbox which acts as a resource and training centre for ISHR’s network of human rights defenders. Through filterable lists and access to the ISHR Academy (an open-access e-learning platform)  activists are equipped with a wealth of assets to advance their advocacy objectives.

Now live, the new website allows ISHR to focus on protecting and promoting people who fight racial discrimination and those who defend the rights of women and rights related to gender and sexuality, LGBTIQ+ persons, migrants and Indigenous communities.

We love our new website! The clearer structure, new assets and fresh new look really make a difference to our users and allow us to improve our services to human rights defenders, the people who work for a better world. Thank you, Fat Beehive, for a great product and collaboration!
