For almost three decades, Fat Beehive has worked exclusively with charities. We’ve seen the sector navigate recessions, changing technologies, global pandemics and an ever-increasing demand to achieve more with fewer resources. Through it all, one thing has remained constant: charities need trusted digital partners who understand not just technology, but the unique challenges of the organisations they serve.

Today, charities face perhaps their greatest period of change yet.

Artificial intelligence is transforming the way organisations communicate, raise funds, deliver services and measure impact. Digital expectations continue to rise, while funding remains under pressure and internal teams are expected to deliver more than ever before. The pace of change can feel relentless.

We believe this presents an enormous opportunity.

Used well, AI will not replace the creativity, compassion and expertise that charities bring to the world. Instead, it will enable organisations to work more efficiently, make better decisions, personalise supporter experiences and focus more of their resources on the people and causes they exist to serve.

That is why we have published our new Three-Year Prospectus.

It is more than a business plan. It is a statement of where we believe the charity sector is heading, how Fat Beehive is evolving alongside it, and how we intend to support our clients through the next stage of digital transformation.

Our ambition is not simply to build excellent websites. It is to become the strategic digital partner our clients rely upon – bringing together strategy, user experience, accessibility, AI, development, managed hosting, support, reporting and long-term consultancy into a single, integrated service.

We know that the launch of a website is not the end of a project. It is the beginning of a relationship.

Increasingly, our focus is on helping existing clients continue to evolve. Whether that means making better use of data, improving digital fundraising, introducing AI responsibly, strengthening cyber security or continuously improving accessibility and performance, we want to be alongside our clients for the long term.

The prospectus also reflects the changes we have made within our own business.

Over the past year we have invested in strengthening our international team, refining our operational processes and building a more resilient organisation capable of supporting charities around the clock. We have expanded our expertise, improved our delivery capability and continued to invest in the services our clients tell us they value most.

As part of that journey, the company also completed a financial restructuring through a Company Voluntary Arrangement. While no business would choose that path lightly, it enabled us to protect our team, continue delivering for our clients without interruption and build a stronger, more sustainable business for the future. Today our focus is firmly on long-term growth, disciplined investment and delivering exceptional value for the charities we serve.

Above all, this prospectus is about commitment.

  • A commitment to our clients that we will continue to invest in the people, technology and services they need.
  • A commitment to our staff that we will continue building a business with purpose, ambition and integrity.
  • And a commitment to the charity sector that, nearly thirty years after Fat Beehive was founded, we remain as passionate as ever about using digital to help organisations create lasting social impact.

The next three years will undoubtedly bring extraordinary change. We are excited about what lies ahead, and we look forward to helping our clients make the most of every opportunity.

Thank you to everyone – our clients, our partners and our team – who has been part of our journey so far. We hope you’ll enjoy reading our prospectus, and we’d love to hear your thoughts.
