This week we’re celebrating major achievements for two of our clients: Lifebox securing life-changing health funding to advance women’s health globally, and UNICEF Ireland launching a powerful Christmas appeal to support children in crisis. Each highlights how purpose-driven organisations use digital tools to reach people, build trust and create real-world impact.

Philanthropy in action

We’re thrilled to celebrate Lifebox’s incredible news this week: they’ve been named an awardee in Action for Women’s Health, a global open call funded by Pivotal Ventures and managed by Lever for Change. This is catalytic, trust-based philanthropy at its best – recognising Lifebox’s evidence-driven, partnership-led mission to make surgery and anaesthesia safer in low-resource settings. 

At a time when women are disproportionately affected by unsafe surgical and obstetric care, this award is both a validation of their impact and a major opportunity to expand it.

We’re proud to work alongside Lifebox as they improve surgical safety for women, mothers and families around the world. Their commitment to this cause is an inspiration to all of us at Fat Beehive, and it’s heart warming to see them join a global cohort that’s determined to make women’s health safety non-negotiable.

Huge congratulations to the whole Lifebox team – this recognition is richly deserved, and we can’t wait to see what this next chapter makes possible.

Improving surgical safety for women, mothers and families around the world

Helping children this Christmas

As thoughts turn to Christmas – the busiest time of year for many of our clients – UNICEF Ireland is appealing directly to the public with a powerful TV campaign highlighting the plight of children facing crisis and hardship. The advert encourages viewers across the Republic of Ireland to purchase an Inspired Gift from UNICEF Ireland’s online shop: practical items such as vaccines, blankets and nutrition packs that directly support children in need.

We’re proud to have partnered with UNICEF Ireland over the past year, rebuilding their website and reconfiguring the shop’s functionality to make donating even easier. Supporters can now add a donation at checkout and choose to send an e-card explaining how their gift will help transform a child’s life. This campaign is a brilliant example of how long-term digital partnerships enable organisations to respond quickly, confidently and creatively when it matters most.

We wish UNICEF Ireland every success with this year’s appeal – and are honoured to support their mission to keep children safe, protected and hopeful.
