The longer a website has been running, the harder it becomes to keep track of everything that’s been published. An article from several years ago may still be perfectly useful, while something much newer could contain broken links, outdated information or other signs that it needs attention.
Content Health helps you work out where to start.
It regularly checks published pages and posts for a range of signals that may indicate content needs reviewing. These can include how old it is, whether links still work, the quality of titles and meta descriptions, and whether there are other pages covering very similar subjects. It brings those checks together into a score, helping you see which content is most likely to need attention first.
Rather than presenting you with another enormous list of pages to work through, Content Health creates a prioritised queue. Editors can see what needs looking at, assign it to someone and decide whether the best course of action is to update, combine, redirect or retire the content.
Once changes have been made, the content can be checked again so you can see whether its health has improved.
For organisations with large or long-established websites, it turns content maintenance into something much more manageable. Instead of trying to remember what might need updating – or waiting until someone spots a problem – your team has a practical way to see where attention is needed most.
