We are seeking a Drupal Support Developer with strong experience in Drupal 9/10 and a solid grounding in PHP development. This role focuses on supporting, maintaining, and extending client websites built in Drupal, ensuring they remain secure, performant, and reliable. The ideal candidate is a PHP generalist with an interest in the wider PHP ecosystem and its evolving practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Drupal 9/10 sites.
- Maintain and enhance existing Drupal installations, including core, contributed modules, and custom code.
- Implement bug fixes, performance improvements, and security updates.
- Collaborate with account managers and support colleagues to resolve client issues promptly and professionally.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented PHP code following best practices.
- Monitor and apply updates to Drupal modules, themes, and core, ensuring minimal disruption to live environments.
- Conduct code reviews and contribute to improving internal development standards.
Skills & Experience
- Excellent working knowledge of Drupal 9/10, including core APIs, theming, configuration management, and module development.
- Strong skills in PHP 7/8, with a good understanding of modern PHP practices and frameworks.
- Familiarity with Composer, Drush, and modern Drupal workflows.
- Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive front-end development.
- Understanding of database design and performance (MySQL/MariaDB).
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
- Knowledge of WordPress and its ecosystem is highly desirable but not essential.
- Ability to diagnose and fix issues across the full stack, from application to hosting environment.
