The Lullaby Trust had been working for years with a website that didn’t clearly explain who they were or what they did. Add to that the fact that two of the most important aspects, the shop and the donations process, were unwieldy and anything but user friendly and it was clear that a complete overhaul was needed. Creating a quick, straightforward donations process was a key requirement of the project. The Trust also needed a site that was flexible, allowed them to showcase their incredible work and dealt with a difficult subject matter sympathetically.
User research was at the heart of the approach we took with this website. An in-depth workshop with the team at the Lullaby Trust allowed us to get a real understanding of the subject matter which greatly informed the final designs and interviews with users fed directly into the site’s two level navigation.
We designed a seamless donations journey which doesn’t just focus on getting people to give money, but also highlights the impact their donations will have – crucial to building trust with the public.
We created a flexible landing page builder which gives the team a huge amount of control. Gone are the days of rigid, inflexible templates – the team are now able to build pages around the content they have, with a repeatable selection of components to chose from.
The site is integrated with WooCommerce, proving that you can have a sophisticated shop on a budget! Don’t believe us, go on – check it out (see what we did there?!).
"We’re so happy with the website Fat Beehive created for us, it’s better than we could have imagined and already we are seeing improvements in traffic, engagement and clicks and we have received a really positive response from our supporters. We felt that Fat Beehive’s thorough UX process and genuine engagement with our charity and the work we do, meant they “got us” as an organisation and that this is reflected in the website they created for us.Christina Rolles, Communciations Manager
