Let’s celebrate!
We’re delighted to share that our client, Save the Elephants, has been awarded the Flo Stone & Roger D. Stone Award for Outstanding Artistry in Filmmaking at the Environmental Film Festival in the Nation’s Capital (DCEFF) for their captivating documentary, A Life Among Elephants.
This prestigious award recognises exceptional creativity and innovation in environmental filmmaking, underscoring the profound impact of Save the Elephants’ work. The film provides an intimate look at the life and legacy of Dr Iain Douglas-Hamilton, the organisation’s founder, whose pioneering research in the 1960s helped reveal the complex social structures of African elephants. As poaching surged in the 1970s and 1980s, Dr Douglas-Hamilton transitioned from researcher to conservation advocate, playing a key role in the global campaign to ban the ivory trade.
