Tom Moreton
Managing Director
Tom has turned his hand to most aspects of working at Fat Beehive since founding the business in 1997, which means he has a broad overview and understanding with which to discuss website requirements with potential clients. A degree in Design Media Arts from the University of Westminster began his interest in the web.
Abby Pond
Sales Manager
Abby's experience of running her own canoeing business, developing and managing a ski company's website and running a bear awareness charity in Canada means that she has the perfect range of skills to understand your needs. Abby holds a degree in Biology from Queens University in Ontario, Canada.
Neil Hayes
Project Manager
Neil’s background as a project manager at Cancer Research means that he’s ideally placed to liaise between production staff and the client. With previous experience at Cafédirect, Neil has knowledge of the charity, not for profit and fairtrade areas. Neil has a Bsc in Business and Management Studies from the University of Bradford and is a Prince 2 practitioner.
Rachel Fleming
Office Manager
Rachel brings her experience of social enterprise after being the managing director of innovative recycling company The Laundry and having worked for the sustainability charity BioRegional. Rachel studied Psychology at the University of Sheffield with a specialism in organisational psychology, to learn how people operate effectively in businesses.
The Design Team
Tim Cromar
Designer
Patient and clear headed; Tim puts the user experience at the heart of his work. With formal training in Art, Design and Music he has been designing and building for the web since 1995. With other professional experience as a movie camera technician and an LEA music educator, Tim would call himself a renaissance man, if only we'd let him.
Danny Winning
Designer
Danny has an amazing ability to learn quickly and during his web design career has had to use this, when unexpectedly tasked with print work using InDesign. Danny studied Graphic Design to degree level at the University of Lincoln and excels in working with clients to create dynamic designs for website and email newsletters.
Derry Lozano-Hoyland
Designer
Derry specialises in interface and icon design and is equally comfortable with CSS, xHTML and Flash. In fact he can turn his hand to almost anything from sound recording to quantum mechanics. Derry has a degree in Physics from the University of Bristol.
The Technical Team
Matt Dwyer
Lead Developer
Matt oversees the technical team in all aspects of customer support, client projects and internal development. He has over ten years experience and has a particular interest in usability, integration and SEO. Originally from Australia, Matt has worked extensively in ecommerce and has a Bachelor of Computing Science from the Queensland University of Technology, Brisbane.
Duncan Heron
Developer
Duncan’s proficiencies lie in web programming languages PHP, MySQL, jQuery/Javascript, HTML and CSS. Duncan listens to clients needs and translates them into functioning websites pulling on knowledge gained from 5 years at Fat Beehive. He has an IT Programming Diploma and Business Computing Certificate from Varsity College, Cape Town.
Emile Swarts
Developer
Emile works as part of the development team installing the content management system into websites ready for clients to control. Emile has a website development diploma from the Tshwane University of Technology, Pretoria, South Africa.
Ash Matadeen
Developer
Ash uses his skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL and PHP to support the Beekeeper development team, in addition to implementing open source alternatives. He also provides technical support to our clients. Ash has a degree in Physics from the University of Birmingham and was born in Mauritius, land of the dodo.
Alberto Lopez
Developer
Hailing from Spain, Alberto works with PHP, MySQL and Salesforce integrations in the development team, pleasing clients and creating fantastic internal tools for us to use. Alberto has a degree in Computer Engineering from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain.
