Any more remote and you'd be an exile...Visit St. Helena Island
An island so small, yet abundant in its history. An island that for centuries lay in the unchartered waters of the Atlantic, undiscovered, until the 21st May 1502.Darwin exclaimed over its beauty, and Napoleon lived out his last days among its green valleys.
Accessible only by sea, this island paradise has 5000 inhabitants that are eager to renew their economy through tourism. A 2005 announcement of an airport will finally link to the rest of the world.&
Though television didn't arrive in the Crown colony until 1995, technology such as high speed Internet and mobile phones are the norm on the island, and "Saints" know that a clean, easy to navigate, image rich website will help attract more tourists by the boatload.
Working together, Fat Beehive and St. Helena Tourism designed and built a site that showcases the island's beauty through a large image slideshow on every page. The BeeKeeper content management system gives full control to the client, through their web browsers, to update the site content easily and quickly.
Best of all, the BeeKeeper CMS is cost effective. Small organisations can devote more of their time and money to more important things - such as explaining where St. Helena is, and how you can get there
