Woodbrooke Quaker Study Centre
Woodbrooke is Europe's only Quaker Study Centre. It is based in the former family home of the local chocolate maker, George Cadbury, himself a Quaker, and has, since 1903, provided education for those of any faith or none from around the world.
Today Woodbrooke also welcomes many visitors wishing to use the facilities for their meetings and conferences.
The grounds of Cadbury House are beautiful, serene, and home to the only Quaker study centre in Europe. During the design process, our Fat Beehive designer worked carefully to evoke that sense of natural stillness, calm and beauty into various elements of the site. The colours and graphics were chosen to echo this as well.
The site is clean, quiet, and easy to navigate. From the outset, it is very clear that this is an educational organisation. Want to find a course? Stay on the grounds? Stage a conference or retreat? Finding the information you need is simple.
A unique addition to the Beekeeper Content Management System for this site is the online course booking system , which allows visitors to search course options, book and pay for the course securely online. Woodbrooke staff have the ability to add, remove, and edit courses, just as they are able to edit, add, remove, and move pages throughout the website.
