The Who Cares Trust
The Who Cares? Trust was set up as a charity in 1992 to improve the everyday lives and future life chances of these children, of whom there are currently 74,000 around the UK. The charity grew out of the magazine Who Cares? (started in 1985) which is still published today.
The design of the new website, launched in June 2009, was a key part of our focus on this project. The previous site did not reflect at all the amazing work done by the Trust, and did not mirror the excellent design and graphics featured in their children's magazines.
Our designer chose to engage and challenge site visitors through the use of large images of children, particularly shots where the child is looking out at you. This provides a human connection and immediately draws you into the page.
Clear signposting and intuitive navigation allow users to find the information they need quickly and easily. The Who Cares? Trust has included a shopping basket and e-commerce gateway to streamline sales of publications and to receive donations, all of which functions through our Beekeeper Content Management System.
Who cares? We do.
