Commonweal Housing

A simple, effective website for the housing charity seeking to resolve social injustices.

Commonweal Housing website

Commonweal Housing is a registered charity which creates housing projects that incorporate bespoke services for occupiers enduring social injustice. Commonweal Housing provide the housing for such projects, usually from existing housing stock. In 2007, they allocated around £2million for such projects.

Commonweals' requirements were simple. They required a well designed website, and the tools to maintain the site. We installed our easy to use BeeKeeper Content Management System to allow the adding , editing and deleting of pages and installed our News System to allow the addition of date based news stories with summaries and full text output.

Design wise, Commonweal did not have a lot of elements to put in the website and little branding. We designed a simple, clear and undistracting website that focuses visitors on the content. We worked with Commonweal to source appropriate images for the website from a stock photo company.

This is a great example of a low cost, effective and self managed web presence.
