New Look for Serpentine Running Club
10th August 2007

Keep up with these London runners!

Serpentine Sheet ShotSerpentine is possibly the largest running and triathlon club in Britain. They have over 2335 members and although they are large, they retain a friendly, small club atmosphere and always welcome newcomers.

The new Serpentine website was designed by Serpentine's designer Steve Brett and built by Fat Beehive. Working in collaboration with Steve Brett, Fat Beehive built a fully compliant xHTML and CSS template from a complex design to incorporate Serpentine's new look. Most of the informational content is stored and maintained in an outstanding and highly customised content management system (CMS) that Fat beehive developed and customised for Serpentine. The CMS was custom developed to allow the inclusion of dynamic content in standard CMS pages and to allow integration with Serpentine's preexisting systems. The CMS utilises PHP, MySQL and Javascript

The new layout and navigation is a lot more user-friendly than the previous site and all pages are fully compliant with modern standards. Most pages should validate as XHTML1.0 Strict with CSS2.1 ensuring all pages on the website are highly accessible and fall within the WC3 guidelines.
