New DAF website - not the trucks though...
12th April 2007
The Drug and Alcohol Foundation launch their website.

Fat Beehive have recently launched a brand new website for the Drug and Alcohol Foundation. The site if fully content managed, is built to a high standard of accessibility, and is fully compliant with WAI guidelines.
The Drug and Alcohol Foundation (DAF) is a registered charity that has been providing counselling and treatment services to people suffering from an addiction, and their families/carers, since 1974. DAF recognises the confusion and shame around living with an addiction and provides a safe and confidential environment within which to get help.
Fat Beehive designed the website and logo in collaboration with DAF. With DAF, we worked out a simple and logical navigation, established a text sizing facility to increase or decrease font size, ensured a colour scheme that is easy to read for as wide a range of people as possible and installed our flexible BeeKeeper content management system with bespoke elements.
As part of the BeeKeeper Website Administration Interface, we have also installed the Mailing List module with a design template (for easy sending of eNewsletters) and the Forum System module to allow service users access to peer to peer support.
The site makes use of the BBC's Betsie software to create a text only version of the site. Access Keys are used to aid accessibility.
