Fat Beehive stream Cafedirect's second public AGM

Fat Beehive stream Cafedirect's second public AGM
1st April 2006

Video coverage of the AGM is made available to shareholders for the second year running.

On 1st April 2006 (no fool here!) Cafédirects' second AGM since becoming a PLC took place at Kensington Town Hall in London. Fat Beehive provided a web stream of the event via the Cafédirect website for those unable to attend.

The event was covered by four manned cameras feeding back to a production desk, allowing cutting between cameras to show the whole event. The video output from the production desk was fed into two encoding servers which provided streams for users with dial up and broadband connections.

The AGM itself was split into two parts. The morning session was the more formal part of the event and featured speeches from Cafedirects Chairman, Managing Director and Financial Director. This part of the event was streamed live over the Internet for the full two and a half hours. Following the morning session, the recorded stream was available for shareholders to view online.

The afternoon session was informal and featured discussions with growers, tea and coffee tasting sessions and finished with an African drumming session that eveyone took part in. This part of the event was cut live to tape with the four cameras, and will be edited for future use.
