Chat with Gamcare
14th November 2005

Gamcare are now holding regular chat sessions to complement their busy online forum and helpline services.

Following the recently launched forums, Gamcare are providing a twice weekly Chat session to offer realtime advice and support.

Gamcare are a gambling neutral charity that takes a non-judgemental approach on gambling. They are the leading authority on the provision of information, advice and practical help for problem gamblers.

The forums that were set up recently have seen a high level or traffic with regular participation by a broad group of people associated with problem gambling. The feedback has been very appreciative of the forum service and the support offered by Gamcare, and users have engaged fully with the forum detailing problems, offering advice to others and making suggestions for developing the forum.

The launch of the Gamcare Chat Rooms, developed by Fat Beehive, allows the forum discussions to take place in real time. All forum and chat room activity is moderated by Gamcare staff, who ensure good advice and encouragement at all times.

The Gamcare administrators have full access to setting up multiple chat rooms, opening and closing the chat room on demand and publishing chat room times and details in the surrounding page. They also have tools to remove abusive users which works in tandem with the forum system - users only have to register once to access both the forum and the chat sessions.

Gamcare and Fat Beehive will continue to develop the chat room services and are pleased that the services are proving useful and informative.
