Cafédirect launch e-commerce section of website to help growers in Hurricane Stan affected areas.

On October 4th 2005 Hurricane Stan struck Chiapas in Southern Mexico. It was described by UNICEF as 'the worst disaster to hit Central America and Mexico since Hurricane Mitch in 1998'.

The Hurricane Stan section of the Cafédirect website features full explanations of the situation and how Cafédirect are helping, an online shop to purchase Palenque and a short film presented by Cafédirect CEO Penny Newman.

Cafédirects' Palenque roast and ground coffee product can be bought online or in shops; an extra 50 pence per packet is going to growers in the area affected by Hurricane Stan.
