Daring green site for WDP!

Daring green site for WDP!

Westminster Drug Project launch a new site with an interesting lime green colour...

The Westminster Drug Project provide information, advice, counselling and treatment services to drug users across London. WDP aims to reduce the social exclusion of drug users and minimise the harm that they may cause to themselves and the wider community.

The new WDP site was developed by Fat Beehive. We interpreted their organisation colours and suggested a number of secondary colours - the vibrant lime green won the day!

A simple, clean and elegant site was needed to house the changing and growing content of the site. We used an element of the logo as the header of the site and, in discussion with WDP, boiled the primary navigation down to just three main areas, aiding the usability and comprehension of the site to visitors.
A central content area on white is surrounded by the WDP green with each section using photographs of staff from WDP's own collection.

The site is maintained through our Beekeeper content management system by WDP staff. Pages can be added, edited and deleted, with images and documents uploaded to each page as required. The site conforms to accessibility standards (WAI) and offers a text resizer (to enlarger or reduce text) and a text only version of the site.
