Habinteg Website Now Live!

Habinteg Website Now Live!
21st October 2004

We have recently launched a brand new website for Habinteg Housing Association. It is built to a high standard of accessibility, and is fully compliant with WAI guidelines.
Visit now at www.habinteg.org.uk

Habinteg Housing Association make sure that houses they build are accessible to all. Therefore it is important that their website is accessible to all.

With Habinteg, we worked out a simple and logical navigation, established an accessibility control panel, ensured a colour scheme that is easy to read for as wide a range of people as possible and installed a flexible content management system with bespoke elements.

The main navigation is short and succinct (five or less choices), the secondary navigation clearly available at the top of the screen.
The accessibility control panel allows for enlarging and reducing text size (larger text is generally good, but tunnel vision sufferers benefit from smaller text). It also offers a high contrast version of the site, where we use a yellow background with black text and black navigation objects.
The normal contrast colour scheme is designed to be clear and readable for a wide range of users, and aids the general usability of the site.
The content management system allows non technical Habinteg staff to effectively run and maintain content on the site through our easy to use and flexible BeeKeeper interface.
