What We Do

Design

The design of a site refers not only to the graphical design, but as importantly to the structural design of the site. A correct structuring of a site is the first priority. Only then can we apply a graphical design to the site.

Structure comes first.

We design and build logical navigation that users can intuitively interpret and easily use. The navigational structure of a site is highly important, as it should immediately describe to the user the sites purpose, and the information contained. The navigation is similar to the contents page of an instruction manual - a brief skim reading of the navigation reveals the sitesą content and logical structure.

Adding the Graphical.

The graphical design of the site is applied to the structural design. After initial discussion with the client, we typically build a number of design layouts for client review and feedback. We consider it very important that the client is involved with the design process. From the feedback we create a finished design. We can develop a design from any existing branded material, or create a look and feel from scratch.

So you want a Flashy site?

We can make funky things happen in Flash. However we donąt recommend creating pure flash sites, as this has a negative effect on the accessibility of your site in terms of search engines finding the site, less abled people using the site and people on slow connections or with low patience finding information on the site. Flash animation can be fantastic and we recommend using Flash animations as elements of a site. For a good example, see the fortune teller we built for Mumsnet and GE Money
